Matt McGill

I am currently working as a data scientist in the pharmaceutical gene therapy space. I love working at the interface of biology, data collection, and data analysis! At Harvard, I studied Neurobiology with a minor in Mathematical Sciences, and continued on to receive a PhD at the Harvard Program in Neuroscience. Outside of work, I love running, video games, cooking/baking, and going on long walks or hikes with my partner Jake and our dog Darwin. I'm happy to talk about work both inside and outside of academia, careers in biology and data science, graduate school, managing classwork, LGBTQ-related topics, or anything else that is on your mind! As an undergrad, I really valued the closeness of the community at Mather on a daily basis, and I appreciated the opportunity to stay close to the Harvard community as a graduate student largely through teaching. I'm really looking forward to getting to know many of you!
