I joined the Mather team in June 2023! As the Mather House Administrator, I manage our housing lottery and room assignments, address student concerns, and oversee the financial needs of the House. I work closely with the Faculty Deans, Allston Burr Resident Dean, Resident Tutors, Academic Coordinator, and Building Manager in coordinating house events and student-initiated projects, as we together build a home for all Mather students.

I joined the Mather House team in June of 2023. Before that, I worked at Boston College in Residential Life. I completed my BSBA in Human Resource Management from John Carroll University in 2017, and then finished two degrees from Boston College: MA in Higher Education in 2017 and MBA in 2023. I am a proud first-gen student and the oldest of five! I focus on creating equitable spaces and practices so folks feel welcome and affirmed in their homes.

I love to learn new things, and have recently been learning how to sew and use hand tools. I enjoy baking, hiking, fall foliage, and spending time with my partner, Zach!

Hey Mather! I’m Freddy Mata-Bueso, and I’m excited to join the Mather community as the Academic Coordinator. I came on board in March 2025,  and I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you! I’m originally from Boston, and love everything about my city. If you ever need solid (seasoned) food recommendations/things to do in the city- I'm your guy!  I’m incredibly proud of my Latinx roots, and if I’m not in the States, you’ll probably find me in Colombia.

I graduated from Boston University in 2017 with a BA in Political Science and Education, and education equity is something I’m deeply passionate about. I believe in the power of education to create positive change, and that’s what drives me in my role here. Outside of work, I’m all about the art of cinema  (AMC Nicole Kidman voice) , food culture, and ALL things Bad Bunny (YHLQMDLG) . I also love the idea of dogs, but like no because of commitment issues. 

If you ever want to talk about first-gen experience, higher education/summer internships, or just want some recommendations for a great film or food spot, I’m always happy to chat! If you ever hear my loud laugh in the dining hall, let me be, I know its loud- sorry !

As an aide, I love co-creating events where the community can come together, hearing about your interests, and assisting in any way I can to help you feel at home on this campus. I graduated from Harvard College in 2017/18 with a concentration in Sociology. Some of my favorite things I've done since college include scripting interview questions for a public radio station, teaching English in Japan, and working as a teen mental health counselor. Currently, I’m completing my Master of Social Work at BU. I am passionate about communication as public service, trying to reduce and re-purpose the materials I and others use, and living life alongside others. I am delighted to be here and look forward to meeting you.

What’s up Mather! I’m Milton, and I’m excited to join the Mather community as one of your Faculty Aides this year. My family’s from the beautiful country of Haiti, and I was born and raised in New York before matriculating to Harvard College. I’ve always loved the process of ideation-to-execution, and during my time at Harvard, I became immersed in developing my own ventures and helping others grow theirs. Post-grad, I began my career as a Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America. After my banking stint, I transitioned to my current role as an Investor and Chief of Staff at the Phoenix Fund. We’re a venture capital fund founded by HBS alumni investing in the leading Harvard technology companies. If you’re building a start-up or want to talk about anything business-related I’m always game for a conversation! In my free time, I enjoy staying active, storytelling, and taking on different hobbies / learning new skills such as solving a Rubik's Cube and playing chess.

Hi everyone! My name is Zainab Wurie and I'm excited to be back at Mather (proud Matherite, Class of 2018). I concentrated in Neurobiology and am currently doing biochemistry research at Boston Children's Hospital. I'm happy to chat about all things science and translational research! As an Aide, I help with administrative tasks and facilitating events, all with the goal of continuing to make Mather a "good house" and inclusive community. In my free time, I enjoy reading, long walks, and daydreaming.
