For more than 20 years Mather students have been experimenting with clay in the Tower basment. Through handbuilding, and throwing on the wheel, hundreds of fine plates, cups, bowls, teapots and sculptural pieces both functional and not have been created. Under the supervision of instructor Tiffany Playford and with studio assistant Cooper Tretter Mather '21, Mather (and River House) students will have opportunities to create in the fall and spring semesters for 8 week sessions as well as a more intensive wintersession course.
